Extraordinary

Dark Light

The second single from Liz Phair was the album’s opening song, “Extraordinary,” another track Phair wrote with The Matrix production team.

While not as commercially successful as “Why Can’t I?,” the song did receive film and television placements, including the soundtrack to the Kate Hudson film, Raising Helen.

A promotional single for “Extraordinary” was released in early 2004 featuring front and back artwork, but a retail single was shelved.

There were two videos shot for “Extraordinary.” The original black/white version (featured below) was a promotional video for the self-titled album.

A second version was also created once the song was featured on Raising Helen, although it’s not currently found online.
